LESSON 16 | God is Number One

Bible Basis: Daniel 3; 6

Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 6:13: “Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.”

Bible Point: Daniel and his friends made God number one in their lives. I can make God number one in my life too!

Resource: The Beginner Bible

“Fiery Furnace” (pages 247 – 250)

“Daniel and the Lions” (pages 251 – 256)

TABLE TALK: Use the Table Talk questions below to start a discussion around the Table at dinner.

Why were the three brave men thrown into the fiery furnace? (They refused to worship/ bow down to anyone or anything but God.)

Were the three men hurt in the fire? (No. God kept them safe!)

Why was Daniel thrown into the lions’ den? (Daniel prayed to God when he wasn’t supposed to.)

Did the lions gobble up Daniel? (No. God kept Daniel safe.)
