At EGC Kids: Talking about the Bible and Honesty

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry learned this Sunday!

LESSON 15 | The Bible Is God’s Story

Bible Basis: Old Testament Highlights

Bible Verse: Exodus 6:7: “I will take you to be my own people. I will be your God.”

Bible Point: The Bible is the story of God’s love for his people. The Bible is the story of God’s love for me too!

Resource: The Beginner Bible

Old Testament (pages 7-246)

TABLE TALK: Use the Table Talk questions below to start a discussion around the Table at dinner.

Which Bible hero from the Old Testament is your favorite? Why?

If you lived during the time of Noah, Moses, or David, how would your life be different than it is now?

How do you know that God loves his people? (He helped and took care of many people in the Bible, just like he helps and takes care of people today!)

If you could travel back in time, which Bible hero would you visit? What would you do together?

Week 1: Source Code – Honesty

Main Verse: 2 Kings 5

Life Application: HONESTY- Choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do

Today’s Key Question: Why is it important for people to trust you?

Morning Time: Send a text or write on your preteen’s mirror, “Build a web of trust or get caught in a web of lies.” If you have time, get creative and draw a spider web on the mirror or add a web emoji to the text!

Remember this: “Anyone who lives without blame walks safely. But anyone who takes a crooked path will get caught.” Proverbs 10:9, NIrV
