TABLE TALK: Use the Table Talk questions below to start a discussion around the Table at dinner.
God saw that David had a good heart. What do you think God sees in your heart?
Why did people think that David wouldn’t be able to defeat Goliath? (David was small, and Goliath was big. David only had a slingshot and stones and no armor.)
What kinds of “big” things can you ask for God’s help with? (Doing the right thing when other people aren’t, being a good example to a younger sibling or friend, telling someone about Jesus, etc.)
If you had a king, like Saul or David, here on earth, what would you want him to be like?
How can you show people that you have love in your heart for them? (Hug them, be nice to them, do something thoughtful for them, etc.)

Week 2: Road Trip – Patience
Main Verse: 1 SAMUEL 1:6-2:1
Life Application: PATIENCE – Waiting until later for what you want now
Today’s Topic: When you think you can’t wait, talk to God about it.
Ask: When is it hard to have patience?
Q & A for kids: What part of your Easter celebration do you find hardest to wait for?
Q & A for parents: What Easter traditions did your family have when you were a child?
Remember this:“Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:14, NIrV
