Bye January, Hello February!

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry learned this Sunday!

LESSON 4 | God Keeps His Promises

Bible Basis: Genesis 27 – 29

Bible Verse: Genesis 26:3: “I will be with you and give you my blessing . . . And I will keep the promise I made an oath to your father Abraham.”

Bible Point: God kept his promise to Jacob. God will keep his promises to me.

Resource: The Beginner Bible

“Isaac’s Blessing”(pages 58–62)

“Jacob’s Dream”(pages 63–65)

“Jacob and Esau Meet Again” (pages 66 – 70)

TABLE TALK: Use the Table Talk questions below to start a discussion around the Table at dinner.

Have you ever made a promise to someone?

Has anyone ever made a promise to you?

Why was it so important to keep a promise?

What was God’s promise to Jacob?

(God said he would watch over Jacob and that someday all the land on which he was lying would belong to him and his family.)

Jacob played a trick on his father and his brother, Esau.

How would you feel if someone tricked you?

Would you be able to forgive like Esau did?

Week 4: Work it out – Commitment

Main Verse: MARK 12:41-44 – The Widow’s Offering

Life Application: COMMITMENT – Making a plan and putting it into practice

Todays Topic: Practice living for God.

Ask: How do you live for God every day?

Morning Time: Think of a goal your child has. Maybe something they are showing commitment on. When you see your child in the morning, let the first thing you say to them be encouragement about their goal!

“Good morning! I think it is awesome you are so committed to ____. I can’t wait to see how God uses this talent in you.”

Remember this: “Training the body has some value. But being godly has value in every way. It promises help for the life you are now living and the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8, NIrV

This is what is ahead for your Child in Grade School in February!
