From Pastor Donne’s Desk

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

preschool BibleIn the Lima Campus 34’s and 5K’s classroom and the Henrietta Campus Preschool classroom: Stories! Joseph (Part 1)

Talk About It: We heard the story of Joseph and how; God has a big dream for me!

Bible Connection: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Challenge for Families: Talk to your kids about their dreams; Ask, ‘What Big dream does God have for you?’ Encourage Your child to dream big, because God has bigger dreams for them than they can imagine. Pray with them this week to know God’s big dream for them. Listen and encourage them this week to listen for God’s voice for what his big dreams are for them look like.

Love-the-Lord-your-God-with-all-your-heart-and-with-all-your-soul-and-with-all-your-mindIn the Grade School classrooms: There’s a Verse for That: Fair!- Life is full of unfairness, but when we remember all Jesus has done for us, we remember that we are better off than we deserve. We need to thank God for his blessings and share the good news of Jesus with others.

Big News: Our own James Woolston taught this week! Give him a high five for stepping forward and blessing our kids this week.

Main Point: Kids will learn how to respond when life isn’t fair. When life isn’t fair, it helps to remember just how much Jesus has done for us.

Memory verse: Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38
