From Pastor Donne’s Desk

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

In the Lima Campus 34’s and 5K’s classroom and the Henrietta Campus Preschool classroom: logoGame Day!

Talk About It: After we played a game we got into small groups talked about following Jesus and letting his light shine through us! We talked about creative ways we all could walk with Jesus every day and we prayed together for Love like Jesus and choosing good attitudes everyday.

Bible Connection:  ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Challenge for Families: Take time to model for your child what Jesus looks like. Watch your child and find a time they chose a good attitude or chose to demonstrate love for another like Jesus does and encourage them in their choice! Pray together as a family for God to show you both someone who needs Jesus’ Light in their life and find a way to show that love to them this week.

Love-the-Lord-your-God-with-all-your-heart-and-with-all-your-soul-and-with-all-your-mindIn the Grade School classrooms: There’s a Verse for That: Big Fear!- When we are afraid, we can take our fears to Jesus. Jesus knows what it’s like to be afraid, and when we give him our fears, his love can help us overcome those fears.

Main Point: Kids will learn to take their fears to God and peace in Him. When we are afraid, God’s love can help us overcome our fear.

Memory verse: Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38
