In the Lima Campus 34’s classroom: Jesus can do anything! -Through the Roof

Talk About It: I can bring my friends to Jesus!

Bible Connection: “For nothing is impossible with God.’ Luke 1:37 NIV

Challenge for families:  Make a list of all your child’s friends. Have your child help you and pray for each one of them. Maybe your child could draw pictures for them as you pray.
That night, have your child pray for his/her friends again by name. Tell your child that nothing is impossible with God.

the_ark-unit5_157x157In the Lima Campus 5K’s classroom and the Henrietta Campus Preschool classroom: The Bible is true- Handwriting on the Wall

Talk About It: Talk about how The Bible is God’s word and God always tells the truth.

Bible Connection: ‘For the word of the Lord is right and true.’– Psalm 33:4 NIV

Challenge for Families: A hand appearing out of nowhere writing messages seems like make-believe, but when it’s in the Bible, you can trust that it’s true. Get some sidewalk chalk and write for a while on some pavement outside. If it’s bad weather, hang a large sheet of paper and color with crayons together to make a mural. Read the story from the Bible from Daniel 5 or from a Bible storybook. Ask them what they would think if they saw something like that. Talk about how amazing the things that God does in the Bible seem.

In the Grade School classrooms: There’s a verse for that: The Blues- It’s easy to praise God when life is good, but not when things go wrong. When we are down or having a bad day, that’s when we need God most of all. If we turn to God, he will lift us up and give us a new song.

Main point: Kids will learn to turn to God when they are sad. When life is hard and we get down, we need to turn to God.

Memory verse: ‘Your word is a lamp for my feet, and a light on my path.’ -Psalms 119:105
