From Pastor Greg’s Desk

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

In the Lima Campus 34’s classroom: I Can Obey God—Noah the Boat Builder

Talk About It: We can obey God by listening to Him. God will give us the directions we need if we will listen.

Bible Connection: “Noah did everything the Lord commanded him to do. ” Genesis 7:5

Challenge for families: Take time to pray with your child each day. Ask God to help each of you to hear His voice and to obey Him. Remind your child throughout the week that they need to obey you just like Noah needed to obey God.

In the Lima Campus 5K’s classroom and the Henrietta Campus Preschool classroom: I Can Do What’s Right—Moses in a Basket

Talk About It: Miriam did what was right and took care of her baby brother. We can do what’s right, too!

Bible Connection: “…Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable… ” Philippians 4:8

Challenge for families: In order for kids to feel safe and secure, they have to trust their parents. This is why kids love to test your strength by jumping into your arms at the pool or just playing around the house. Remind your kids as often as you can that just like they trust you, God is even more trustworthy.

In the Grade School classrooms: Jesus Is: God

This week’s main point: Jesus is not just a man who died for us, but fully God.

Memory Verse: “The Son is the exact likeness of God, who can’t be seen. The Son is first, and He is over all creation. All things were created in Him. He created everything in heaven and on earth. He created everything that can be seen and everything that can’t be seen. He created kings, powers, rulers and authorities. All things have been created by Him and for Him. Before anything was created, He was already there. He holds everything together.” Colossians 1:15-17
