From Pastor Greg’s Desk

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

In the Lima Campus 34’s classroom: God Made Me for a Reason—Joseph’s Happy Ending

Talk About It: God made you for a reason, and He has a plan for your life, just like He did for Joseph. God can use good times and bad times for His special plan.

Bible Connection: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Challenge for families: The next time your child gets their feelings hurt by a friend or sibling, remind them how important it is to forgive others. Pray with your child and thank God for forgiving our sins, just like Joseph forgave his brothers.

In the Lima Campus 5K’s classroom and the Henrietta Campus Preschool classroom: God Has a Plan for Me—Joseph Saves His Family

Talk About It:  Joseph understood that God could even use the bad things that happened as a part of His special plan. No matter what happens, God can still complete His big plan for our lives.

Bible Connection: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Challenge for families: Make it a point to always talk with your kids about the choices you have to make. Show them by your example how to follow God and make right choices.

In the Grade School classrooms: Candy Hearts (Lesson 3)

This week’s main point: If we truly follow Christ, we will love and serve the needy.

Memory Verse: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27
