From Pastor Rob’s Desk

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

In the 34’s classrooms: I Can Obey God – Rainbows & Promises

Talk About It: We can obey God by praising Him. God wants us to thank Him and praise Him for what He does for us.

Bible Connection: “Noah did everything the Lord commanded him to do.” Genesis 7:5

Challenge for families: Talk to your child about how God promises never to flood the Earth again and that He gave us rainbows as a reminder. You can read about it in Genesis 9 in the Bible.

In the 5K’s classrooms: God Is with Me – Joshua Is the New Leader

Talk About It: Joshua was nervous about being the new leader, but God told him that he didn’t have to be afraid. We don’t have to be afraid to try something new because God is always with us.

Bible Connection: “Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Challenge for families: Read the verse Joshua 1:6 to them and remind your child that God makes us strong when we’re weak.

In the Grade School classrooms: Kids with Courage

This week’s main point: God gives me the courage to keep doing what’s right.

Memory Verse: ”So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9

Challenge for kids: Here’s some ways you can demonstrate courage!

  • Speak up for someone who’s getting picked on
  • Tell someone about Jesus
  • Invite someone to church
  • Sleep without a night-light, television, or music on
  • Say hello to someone new
