From Pastor Rob’s Desk

Rex the RhinoOur kids and students have been working hard fundraising for camp and selling tickets to the Rochester Rhinos soccer game on Saturday, May 9th. For every $10 ticket that we sell, we get $5 from the Rhinos! All completed ticket packets must be dropped off at EGC this Sunday.

You can purchase tickets or donate online by Sunday, May 5th at 12 Noon by clicking this link. When asked for the “Name of Student Supporting,” enter the name of a child you know who’s going to Camp Judah or simply choose “where needed most.” Tickets will arrive via mail from the Rochester Rhinos the week before the game.

Take a look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

In the 34’s classrooms: I Can Obey God – Two by Two

Talk About It: We can obey God by doing what He tells us to do. Just like Noah, we need to do things just the way God tells us to.

Bible Connection: “Noah did everything the Lord commanded him to do.” Genesis 7:5

Challenge for families: Tell your child throughout the week that they are specially selected by God, just like the animals, and that they need to listen to Him.

In the 5K’s classrooms: Let My People Go!

Talk About It: Moses did what was right and had faith that God would free his people. We can do what’s right and have faith in God, too!

Bible Connection: “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable…” Philippians 4:8

Challenge for families: Wind is a great example of faith. You can’t see the wind, but you can see the effects of the wind. The next time you and your child feels the wind on your skin, pray and praise Him for being such a great God!

In the Lima Grade School classroom: Put Others First

This week’s main point: God’s Love Seeks Peace

Memory Verse: ”Keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” Ephesians 4:3

Challenge for kids: If you hurt someone, or they
hurt you, apologize, talk to them kindly, pray for others,
and look for ways to be kind even if they were mean to you.

In the Henrietta Grade School classroom: Bible Blitz with Karen Lampson (Henrietta Kids Campus Coordinator), where kids learn about Bible basics using fun games and prizes! Come prepared with a question about the Bible! Kids who bring their Bibles get a special treat (non-edible).
