Look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

In the 34’s classroom: God Made Me for a Reason – Joseph Saves Egypt

Talk About It: God made Joseph for a reason, and He took care of Joseph even when he was in Egypt. God made you for a reason and will take care of you wherever you go.

Bible Connection: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Challenge for families:

  1. Play hospital ER with your child. Get out some band-aids, gauze and cotton balls and pretend that you have a boo-boo on your knee or elbow.
  2. Have your child bandage you up. While they’re “working” on you, talk to them about how much God loves us and He cares for us.
  3. After your child is finished, have them pray for your pretend boo-boos. Then pray and ask God to help your child to feel cared for, always.
  4. The next time you’re helping your child with a real boo-boo, remind them of God’s love and that He gave you to them to take care of them.

In the 5K’s classroom: God Has a Plan for Me – Pharaoh’s Dream

Talk About It: God gave Joseph special gifts to use to live out God’s plan. God has given us special gifts, that we can use to follow God’s plan for us.

Memory Verse: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are
plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Challenge for families: At bedtime, pray with your child and tell them that God has some big plans for them. Pray that God would use their special talents to better His Kingdom.

In the Grade School classroom: Bullying part 1 – The Who and Why

This week’s main point: I have the power to hurt or help my friends with my words.

Memory Verse: “When you talk, don’t say harmful things, but, say what people need, words that will help others become stronger.” Ephesians 4:29

In the Grade School classroom: Disciple

This week’s main point: Choose Jesus

Memory Verse: “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
