Creation, Purpose & Purity

Look below to see what our Kids Ministry is teaching this week!

In the 34’s classroom: God Made Everything – Adam and Eve Disobey

Talk About It: God created everything in the whole world. God gave people a choice to obey Him or not. When we disobey God, we mess up our friendship with Him.

Bible Connection: “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. ” John 1:3

Challenge for families: Get out your child’s favorite toy and ask them to name it. Ask them if you can throw it away (but make sure they understand you are kidding.) Tell them that God wants us to love and obey Him. When Adam and Eve sinned and hid, it was like they left Him and it made God sad, just like if we lost our favorite toy.

In the 5K’s classroom: God Has a Plan for Me – Joseph’s New Coat

Talk About It: Even when he was young, God showed Joseph what kind of special things He had planned for his life. God made us special and has a great plan for our lives, too!

Memory Verse: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘…to give you future and a hope.'” Jeremiah 29:11

Challenge for families: During your week, point out people’s clothes that are extra bright or a little wild in color and pattern. Talk about Joseph and his coat of many colors that your child learned about in Genesis 37.

In the Grade School classroom: Be Pure

This week’s main point: Love Pure: Love others the way God does!

Memory Verse: “If you love one another, everyone will know you are My disciples.” John 13:35

Challenge for kids: Think about why you love some one, choose to love someone with Jesus’ love.
