Faith, Truth & Worship

This week we are learning about faith, truth and worship in Kids Ministry! Check out who is learning what below.

In the 34’s classroom: A Woman Has Faith

Talk About It: We can have faith that God can handle our problems. Jesus loves it when we believe in His power.

Bible Connection: “For nothing is impossible with God.” Luke 1:37

Challenge for families: You can teach your child this by planting some seeds in a small planter inside.

  1. Buy some seeds of your liking and some potting soil at your local hardware store. You can plant the seeds in a coffee cup, plastic cup or a pot.
  2. Have your child pour in the dirt, poke some seeds into the dirt and water them.
  3. Tell your child that the plant won’t show up today, but to have faith because it will show up in a few days. Then check it from time to time.
  4. Each day, go over to the plant to check it and pray. Pray that Jesus will teach you both to have faith because nothing is impossible with Jesus.

In the 5K’s classroom: Elisha

Talk About It: Elisha’s miracles seem like they must be make-believe, but when it’s in the Bible, you can trust it is true.

Memory Verse: “For the word of the Lord is right and true…” Psalm 33:4

Challenge for families: Watch a movie together that features things that could not possibly happen. A good option is Horton Hears a Who because it addresses the topic of faith.

In Grade School classroom: Worship

This week’s main point: We glorify something or someone, I’ll choose my God, the Holy One.

Memory Verse: “True worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way.” John 4:23

Challenge for kids: Spend time this week in your special time with the Lord choosing to Glorify God.
