If You’re Happy And You Know It…

Daylight Savings is tonight! Spring Forward!

dinoGod created us with the capacity for a wide variety of emotions. Left unmastered, negative emotions can lead us to make sinful, selfish choices. Through this month’s series “Emotions,” kids will learn how to rely on God rather than negative emotions and to give thanks for the positive ones.

Last week we tackled our anger. The Bible is clear to us that anger is not a sin, but when we let it run wild we can be lead to make sinful choices. God gives us the power to forgive when we feel mad.

This week we will be learning how to rely on God when we feel sad. The Bible tells us that God is our great comforter and that Jesus heals our broken hearts!

Main Point: When I feel SAD, God gives me comfort.

Scripture: Ps. 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”

Challenge: Make a plan for when you get sad. What will you do when you feel sad?
