Media isn’t bad—but we must choose to use it wisely or we’re letting it use us. We should approach every relationship with the intention of sharing God’s love. Media can be a great tool to share Jesus. It can help us lead conversations with others, spend time with others, and build healthy relationships. We need to learn how to make that happen on purpose because it rarely happens on accident.
The Internet is a way of connecting people from all over the world. God can use that technology for His glory and our good. Like all other media, it can easily lead us away from living for Him. It can connect us to people and places we would never visit in real life and into danger. Remember: Play has its place, but we want to win this race.
Bottom Line: Play has its place, but we want to win this race.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:23 NLT You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.
Challenge: What will you do differently because of what you learned during this series on handling media influences?
