Time Travelers

Kidz Express is starting a brand new series that will take us through the month of November. Time Travelers is a series by LifeKids on guarding what we’re allowing into our hearts and minds. Check out what they have to say:

Media has influenced people for ages, not just in the technology age. The images we see and the music we hear and all other varieties of media change our hearts and minds which in turn, shape our attitudes and actions.

This series is not intended to lay out a new stricter set of rules or boundaries for kids to follow. That is just one more arbitrary moral code for them to reject later in life.

The goal is to reset their hearts and minds and focus them on their relationship in Christ. Tell them who they are. Show them what relationships are for. Challenge them to make the most of the technology and media in our lives, to point others to Christ, to share God’s love, and to ultimately draw us closer to Him.

 When we point kids toward a growing relationship with God, He will speak to each one of them about the way they use media and expose how they may be allowing media to use them.

1 John 2:15-17 NLT says, “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.”
